my main requirements are

1920x1080 (at least)
HDMI,DVI, and VGA
hdcp

also I have accidently broken my old monitor which was a dell s2409w...there's a big white square that takes up the majority of the screen and the colors are splodged..anyway I was wondering whether there was anything i could do with this? I.e would dell repair it and how much would it cost? or could i sell it on ebay?...do you reckon anyone would buy it? lol

thanks

It always amazed me how people are prepared to pay good money for knackered stuff on eBay, however, I'm not sure would extend to monitors. Looking now, there are some currently listed but none of them have any bids, so I would say it's unlikely.

hmm yeah I guess there's people who can restore broken stuff with a bit of work and then keep it/or sell it on for profit, doubt that's possible with a monitor though because the panel's the most important part lol

Put it aside for a rainy day when you're feeling really ****ed off and then have the pleasure of taking a hammer to it. Stress relief!

haha:p

this was the only one i could find on the OCuk website that fitted your requirments, though im not monitor expert

thanks for the reply! I don't mind spending a bit over £150 so will carry on looking but that does look nice so thanks :)

Since I jus bought a 22" full HD with HDMI, I'll tell you what your options are.

BenQ E2200HD

ASUS VH222H or ASUS VH226H

Viewsonic VX2260wm

These are all below £150 or about £150 atleast. That 2209WA doesnt have HDMI in and isnt fully HD either.

Well, the lack of HDMI in isn't a big deal in many circumstances (although clearly one DVI and one HDMI would be better than DVI + VGA present), unless you really want to use the monitor's speakers.

Its pretty useful for someone like me, I want to connect my 360 to the monitor, and a 360 to VGA cable is silly expensive. Also, I dont think the 360 has a dedicated audio out?
