I wondered why my 920 had rose 9 degrees over 2 months whilst under my H50-1

im considering a filter for it but i dont know where i could get a filter for the top of my 800D.

Just had to take the h20 off again as i had the fans on pull pull instead fo pushpull... i wondered why it was 5 degrees warmer than it normaly is.

Currently sat at 28/31/28/32 idle when it was 37/40/38/41 this morning

My load temps have also went up 4-5c, case was cleaned recently so the warmer weather is the cause, im now hitting 79c on my highest core, (i7 920 DO at 4ghz on an asus p6t dlx v2).

Just checked my H50 radiator and it was also full of dust just like your picture, So I fitted a dust filter. Getting amazing temps again full load 53c at 4ghz on q9550 after 1hr of prime :)

Using a FTO1 case(positive air pressure) my fan filter's work very well. I clean them about every 3 month's, H5O push/pull config, rad gets very little dust on it.

Thats 2 months worth of crap in that radiator i have the h50 on the rear of the 800D on intake pushpull, bottom intake on case and top exhaust

I've had my H50 running for months now and it's pretty much dust free :)

I set my fans to run at low speed the vast majority of the time. Less airflow means less dusty air being drawn through my filter mesh. It's also quieter.

Much rather that than unscrew the massive stack of fans and shrouds I have clustered around my H50 rad. That would really be a chore.

Have to say ive had mine running about 4 months or so in my FT02B and ive had no dust in the rad. But ive got filters on all the intakes so its not that surprising.

Best trick is to put the H50 rad out of the main airflow area and use a lower speed on the fans. This way the dust will be going out the other fans, with less going thought the rad.

In all seriousness, if you have a central heating/cooling system in your home, you may want to clean or change the filters. You too are breathing that much stuff in to your lungs.

Good post and picture. Definitely got to keep rads n filters clean for optimum cooling performance.
