Morrowind GOTY - what are the best mods please ?

I managed to pick the GOTY version up for 20p yesterday in local branch of well known exchange store.....quite a bargain

Just wondering what are the best mods to stick on it as heard there are quite a few floating about inc. resolution changers and high res texture mods.

Any help welcomely received

2 I'd definitely recommend:
Better Bodies
Better Heads

Also have a look for some landscape texture packs. At work right now so can't remember the one I used.

I remember there being a little programme you could run alongside that would massively increase draw distance and whatnot, no recollection what it was called though.

That graphics mod makes morrowind look not too far off of oblivion .... I wonder how stable it is, Wonder if its good enough to play the whole game through with it ?

This for sure, Oblivion was good but Morrowind was just outstanding.

Has anyone had any luck getting mods to work on the steam version of Morrowind? I can't seem to be able to get the above graphics mod or Quarls to work?

And so you should! As people have said, far superior game. I'd say that fast-travelling more than anything else ruined the Oblivion experience, you get to know the country a lot better in Morrowind - though it's still huge enough to satisfy. Keep your eye out for the Amazing Jumping Man near the beginning

I might get morrowind soon. I would hope they have some even newer texture packs that make the games textures more 2008 - 2010. Last time i had it though it wouldnt boot on windows 7.

Odd request coming up...

I have the boxed GOTY edition from way back but the main Morrowind CD has a whopping crack in it. My Bloodmoon and Tribunal discs are fine and obviously I have my Serial Key.

Would any one mind either: making a copy on CD and posting it to me, or uploading an ISO of the disc?

Never got to play much of the game due to that blooming cracked disc.

ugh that game was a demon drug i had to kick, although i didnt put as many hours into it as i have on guildwars, i think its still #2 on my xfire for hours played, i put so many mods in

one i would reccomend is Wizards Island, i had problems installing it at first but if you read the readme its all cushdy, my main problem was that i could never get mods to stop conflicting

to to this you should use Wyre Mash and python 2.5 i believe, thats what i did when i used to play, but i cant get it to work with the new python releases, therefore cant get mods to work together

same for oblivion with wyre bash, or whichever uses what.
