New Cooler Required - Gigabyte USB3 and Lian Li USB3 Case

Hi All

I've had this case and mobo for a month now and have to say its been perfect, all apart from the stupid stock cooler im using on an i5.

Does anyone know or have experience with a decent cooler that will work with this? I still have a good inch of space over the Stock for space but as you know space around the CPU is tight

Please help!

Are you useing one of the OcUk QUANTUM ystems ?

If you have the PC-Q08B case then THIS cooler could work, an H50 will allso be able to fit if you can find the right 15mm sythe fan.

It's not a Quantum system, it is one i built myself.

Thanks for the link on the Scythe, never thought about those. However i am more than interested in you saying the H50 will fit? I have one here sat doing nothing but i never tried it due to reading a few reviews saying it wont fit!

Any guides/links to show one working?

Is it the PC-Q08B case that you have ?

Edit: If it is the PC-Q08B case you have then these pics show how the H50 can fit

Google Scythe "SLIP STREAM SLIM" to find the fan that will fit in that small space. (120 x 12mm Fan)

Well, very interesting indeed!

I thought it will never fit between the HDD cages and Front panel never even though about top mounting it.

Ingenius, thank you i shall be able to use this H50 now (as long as the Slip Stream isnt too loud)

After 3hrs and a lot of swearing i fitted the H50 into the case and i am very impressed, back to the near silent running and that fan is just awesome.

Full load Prime95 for over 8hrs and it never went above 55c and i cant really hear it!

I am happy
