nVidia GTX460 bit-stream lossless pass-through support, or lack of.
This is to all that are interested, and this thread

The Mess:
To get HD audio bit-streaming using the GTX460 you need,
1. The Beta drivers! not the latest ones as I first tried to use. These are the new version 260 drivers.
2. The Latest edition of PowerDVD 10 with the latest patch 2113 released on the 14/9, this adds support for the 460 cards only!
3. Quite the while to screw around with the whole thing! Eventually I had Picture and DTS Master Audio/TrueHD etc.
The Test:
Two new films. Prince of Persia and Robin Hood, First Film I watched last night and after about 30 minutes the connection dropped and I lost audio, then this started to happen more often and the video was stuttering also.
The Robin Hood Bluray won't even play. Gets stuck after it plays the trailers.
I imagine I'm going to play around with it some more, but I don't think this is something I can really fix. It's a Cyberlink/nVidia problem somewhere. My guess is it's going to be another few weeks months before this is sorted, which is well, ridiculous.
The Conclusion:
For now I'd have to recommend you steer clear, my 5770 had no problems doing any of this, and it was very easy to get it to do it. I'm now copying Robin Hood so that I can watch it LOL
