Yer I had been looking at that!
Can I mount the gearstick on the left with that?
Yup, the platform for the gear stick is a separate piece that you can attach on either side.
Saying that - there's now contradictory information on their website.
If you go here (
http://www.wheelstandpro.com/order.html) there is:
- Stand for Logitech wheels * = £ 89 with shipment.
- Stand for Microsoft wireless racing wheel for XBOX 360 = £ 95 with shipment.
- Stand for Logitech G25 = £ 99 with shipment.
But when you click on order and go here (
http://www.wheelstandpro.com/unitedkingdom.html) there is:
- Stand for Logitech wheel = £ 89 with shipment.
- Stand for Microsoft wireless racing wheel for XBOX 360 = £ 95 with shipment.
- Stand for Logitech G25 = £ 99 with shipment.
- Stand for Logitech G27 = £ 107 with shipment.
- Stand for Logitech wheel plus XBOX extension = £ 109 with shipment.
- Stand for Logitech G25 plus XBOX extension = £ 119 with shipment.
My confusion is with the separation of the G25 and G27 stands as I was under the impression they were identical apart from a few extra buttons, changes to the gearing in the wheel for better FFB and the removal of the gear sticks "tiptronic" functionality.
There is, as far as I understand, no change to the build of the wheel so there shouldn't be any change to the position of holes for mounting etc.
Saying that, if you have a G27 wheel I can only recommend getting the G27 stand as there must be some sort of difference.
BAH! Again, from the website "G25 stand is compatible with gear shifter on left and right hand side" but doesn't mention the G27 stand specifically.
Get in touch with them if you're interested if no one else can shed any light on the matter
