Will this RAM fit with this MOBO and cooler?

Asus P8P67 PRO Intel P67 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard - (Sandybridge) ** B3 REVISION **

Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C8 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMZ8GX3M2A1600C8)

Akasa AK-CCX-4002HP Venom CPU Cooler (Socket LGA775/LGA1155/LGA1156/LGA1366/AM2/AM3)

Shouldn't be any obstruction - the venom is pretty good with respect to RAM. If you were going to use four sticks then you might have a problem fitting something into the most proximal slot, but two sticks will be fine.

The ram does fit in slots 2 and 4 with the venom but the heat spreader does sit up tight against the fan if you have the venom oriented to have the air being blown through it. You do have the option of turning the venom 180 degrees flipping the fan around so it's drawing air through the venom but as I understand it this can make a CPU HSF a little less efficient.

Not being funny but by default if you can't use all 4 slots you can't stay that it's good for ram. Most coolers will obscure ram slots for p67.

Nah you're completely right :). I meant good for the OP's RAM as he only wanted two sticks but phrased it wrong.

Sorry to hijack a bit, but are Corsair XMS3 ok for all 4 slots with this configuration, or are they tight too?

I built my PC and had to have the fan of the venom on the other side. The fan covered at least the first 2 RAM slots. So regardless of the height of the RAM its a no-go.

I've had some feedback from another forum on this issue. It seems that there will be no problem with P8P67 + Venom + Vengeance if you are using on a single pair of dual channel, but there are definitely accessibility issues on the last slot when using a full four sticks. Whether that is just that you need to remove the cooler to put the RAM in and then it's fine or whether it will physically obstruct the position seems unclear at this point. I'm building in a couple of weeks (with this set-up as I'm going to have 2x4Gb for now) and will advise on heights/obstruction etc. after doing so.

EDIT: Picture of the Venom clearance (with Geil Value RAM)
EDIT2: Seems we are repeating a thread from the overclocking/cooling area: Link
