I was on TV

A call has gone round for people to apply for Come Dine With Me here. Love the show, but seriously couldn't trust myself if I went on it.

I've always said that if I did, I would make the most VICIOUSLY hot series of courses (spicy chicken wings, chilli con carne, and chilli chocolate ice cream) that I'd get 0s all round.

The main factor that's stopped me applying for it is hearing some peoples' experiences from the last time they shot it here -- for example not leaving other contestants' houses until gone 3am due to the interviews and delays etc. then having to get up for work the next morning. Screw that!

ScarySquirrel what made you apply for this tripe, really though i never understand this sort of tv,come dine with me,coach trip thing:confused::confused::confused:what made you do it..

I was drunk, and I thought I'd get 3 free meals with different girls, but when I got on the show they told me I was to host.

It's just a bit of fun really, and I'm definitely glad I did it.

That was quite good mate, you looked like you handled it well - better than I think I could in your situation.

You seemed like a genuinely nice guy where as she came across like she was just really there for a free meal. Some of her comments (although may have been taken out of context in the film/editing) were a little boderline too...when shes talking about your starter for example.

She looked high maintenance so you probably dodged a bullet.

Also - did she talk when you served food or just wolf it down then chat? She seemed to finish quite speedily!

Her summary of you at the end is quite good but "not having the personality to match me"...what a egotistical *****!

You came across very well on that show. Her on the other hand......

Would have been epic if you had a troll face in there somewhere. :D

The big bird on the TV was classic.

We talked loads and actually got on really well. They hardly used any footage from when we were eating. They left the camera on a tripod whilst we ate and just left us to it. They probably had 15 hours worth of footage which they shorten to about 15 mins (if that!), so stuff is bound to get cut. They can pretty much control how you come across as well which is why I was worried!

LOL at this as well, on the Dinner Date Facebook page. I'm Nick Benson, Adam Neale is the chef who got picked!

Looks like all the fans of dinner date want you to cook them something they also spotted her freeloading tendencies!

Back of the net! :D

Not sure i'd have the nerve to go on the show, well played for doing it and your food looked tasty

I watched that I didnt know it was you, I wanted you to win.

That chef bloke had the weirdest laugh and looked strange, also picking a head chef for a amateur cooking/blind date is a bit below the belt.

The programme narration reminds me of Come dine with me always making quick jokes at people's expense.

Well done Nick. As other have said you dodged a bullet with her!

She was so annoying I'd have probably made my excuses and kicked her out after the starter.

The narrator needs a slap too!
