I bought a new PSU today (Corsair TX650m) and want to start braiding.

Ive sent and email to Corsair to see if I can without voiding the warranty, but just wondering if anyone has any experience with this.

Preferably no "Well its common sense that they wouldnt", Id prefer those that have asked and know the answer/ similar answers.

Thanks

If you take the lid of the PSU you void the warranty. If you braid extensions or just the modular cables you are fine as you don't need to send modular cables for RMA. If you braid the main cables you would probably have to remove the braid before RMAing, becuase they would know that you have extracted pins which would presumably void the warranty. Basically if they can't see it, you haven't voided the warranty!

I was to braid all the cables that I use, and sadly that includes all of the hard wired cables, and they'd know if I cut off the OEM braid :(

Will just have to live with braiding the PCi power connections.

On my Corsair there is black sticker over one of them screws saying warranty void if sticker removed or something along those lines so I believe you will hear no you can not from Corsair.

Oh the could be another way to do it is remove the plastic power connectors if you can, I remember I did that on one of my psu, then slide the braiding that way.

Thats the way I was going to do it anyway, I dont intend on opening the unit, just modding the cables.
