Hey all,

Went to Curborough again on Friday 13th! This time I actually ran my car, as I was really interested in seeing the difference coilovers and a rear arb made. Unfortunately it rained and rained and rained, until very late in the day where we got some laps on the drying track. It turns out that it's a much more fun track in the rain :D

Some videos that I got, including my own car:

Enjoy!

:D

Ive always wondered what happens to the centre diff when the hand brake gets yanked. How does is disconnect from the front?

When you apply the hand brake the center diff goes into open mode automatically, in the manual it says when going round very tight corners to pull the handbrake up 1 notch to open the diff so you don't get transmission wind up.

Now that is a day for a little MX5, it would have been epic in those conditions. Some of those boys and girls need some coaching on how to go sideways, but you seemed to be having a proper go so good on ya. Get them off to Phil Price Rally School!

Arggghh so many Brummie accents and bad drivers!

I think that's a bit of an unfair statement. It's a group of genuinely nice guys most of who have never had an experience with track driving, driving hard in the wet etc, and who were out there just to have a good time by messing around. No laps were timed or anything, we were just there for a bit of fun, and for those who have never really pushed their cars to learn more about them and build some skills.

You would be very surprised to see just how much everyone improved through out the day with car control, speed, and courage. I can honestly say I was very impressed, some were properly nervous and scared about pushing their cars as they've never done much more than give it a bit on the road.

Don't be so quick to judge! Everyone needs time to learn these things, and they were learning :)

Your car looks and sounds awesome on the move! :)

Thank you sir :)

That white Spec C is stunning. It deserves a better driver :)

It is an awesome car, and the owner is actually a very decent driver, he was enjoying himself. See his last video on my page at Curborough, he was holding some nice slides. The wet just inspired everyone to mess around a lot :D

Yes, the MX5 would have been brilliant fun that day! Although some did have such bad tyres that they may well have had RWD hehe!
They were doing very well toward the end of the day :) Thank you, I was certainly being a bit silly on purpose. I really enjoyed it this time, the rain made it so much fun.

Cheers guys.

Jedi, your car wouldn't have got very far in that rain I don't think. It was absolutely tipping it down. Wheelspin FTL :p I was a bit silly to be still going for it, but it was worth it :D

Gurdas I didn't arrange this one, but next time I do, I shall let you know :)

That looks awesome fun! I love the sound of the Impreza, such a nice burble... I wish my GT4 had a more distinctive noise like that!

Lovely car dude :)
