I don't read much, however on holiday I tend to listen to audio books on the plane and read quite a bit poolside while soaking up the rays.

What can people suggest as interesting books? I've enjoyed some Brian Cox stuff recently (after Wonders of Life I went back and watched Solar System and Universe again), so something sciency that isn't to technical for a non scientist to understand would be good.

Also anything good motorsport related. I read a brilliant book years ago called The Chariot Makers that went into details about constructing a theortetical perfect F1 car, and I heard Steve Matchett has written other good books. My dad had some racing driver autobiographies, but I can't seem to find any back at home, I think they are buried in the loft somewhere.

Paper back (luggage friendly) or audio books. Any suggestions?

Not audiobooks ... but there are some good science podcasts (including one containing Brian Cox) you could try.

I think I'm going to grab a copy of The Grand Design by Stephen Hawking, and also The Mechanic's Tale by Steve Matchett.

Any other suggestions?
