Hey there, my second 7950 just arrived today, I have a p67-gd55 msi motherboard, and now my second 7950 takes up all pci slots, and I was using a X-FI fatality fps sound blaster that fits into a pci slot (Not the short 1x slot)

so now I cant fit my sound blaster in, but to make it worse, I can't use onboard sound because I snapped a audio jack plug into it years ago, tried superglue to get it out and the lot, but its wedged in snug lol.

So whats the best way to get around this problem, buy a sound blaster that fits in 1x slot? or buy a ribbon pci extender kinda thing so that I can put my sound card below the motherboard?

ill just take the second card out so I have sound until I fix the problem, but still would like advice on which way to go with this :) Thanks

Here are pictures showing my issue

The soundcard is PCI and I see the PCI slot right under the 2nd graphics card I would get an extender for PCI and you have a slot spare on the case to stick it in from what I can tell of that picture. That will be your best option or a new motherboard that has a better layout with PCI and PCI-E slots.

You will need a "PCI Flexi Riser Card " google "PCI Flexi Riser Card - Right Facing" and "PCI Flexi Riser Card - Left Facing" I can't see one on overclockers page they only have PCI-E risers. They come in LEFT and RIGHT facing so make sure to get the right one to allow you to install the card in the case the right way round, some companies Left and Right facing have different directions to others so careful to check the picture and how you would install it. I saw now two different sellers with Left and Right facing but were opposite way round to other seller. Basically you want the PCI extender to sit in same direction as the slot on the motherboard when inserted. Also some come with long 11cm cables so could easily be bent round with the extra cable if you get it wrong way round so not a big issue but better to get them right way round to stop you having to bend cables round.
