Hi guys. I just OC'd 3700 sandy to 2.57Ghz.

Now i couldnt find divider on the bios, there was Dimm setiing which i tried to set to 166 but only had 200 or higher option.

so i put htt x4 and set 234 x 11 (htt on 937mhz) CPU on auto vcore. now on CPU-Z its 1.42 and at stock its 1.36. I did 3Dmark 2005 demo (left gfx settin) score : 5621 @ stock and 5699 @ 2.57Ghz.

I didnt think the ram could take it but it ran 3dmark fine and cpu tems are good 45 Load (3D mark)

now any 1 wanna gimme tips please :)

also i tested Cool n Quiet and its not bad, i know how it would affect a OC rig but since i let vcore on auto and fsb@234 and multi @ stock (11) it should be ok for me to use it? correct me if i'm wrong

If overclocking don't use Cool n Quiet
Set Command Rate to 1T
Try and get memory to CAS 2 (need to put memory on a divider) <200mhz setting so as you overclock memory FSB increases.

I'm running CPU 245x11= 2.7ghz
133mhz FSB memory, 2-3-3-5, 1T
4400X2

Just testing 250x11 on divider, ram on 196mhz and HTT 1001mhz with 1.45vcore i think might have jumped the gun lol

gonna try 3Dmark fingers crossed it doesnt crash.

I would like to keep this speed :D but whats the "safe" vcore for these CPU?

well its not stable, so needs vcore?

Ok set it back 2.7ghz and 3dmark 5691

gonna test Cool n Quiet LOL

well just tested cool n quiet works really well.

246x5 with 1.23 vcore and ddr set to 200mhz (low)

256x11 with upto 1.47 vcore (its on auto) and ddr set 193hmz (high)
Primed on small FFT for 1 hour 4mins no errors

update, set vcore to 1.43 but when PC is on load it goes upto 1.45-7

Oh temps are really good with stock cooler 46 load @2.7ghz

Actually, it's pretty interesting that CnQ is working well for him whilst overclocked.

I have a similar cpu/mobo setup. I might experiment with it sometime :) (currently just at 2.75 24/7)

If you have diffs overclocking your ram, try going back a bios version. The latest (at the time) bios killed my ram oc - 250+ 1:1 back down to a good old 5:4 divider :/ and 200mhz ddr (samsung uccc chips)

Sigh, I'm not going to say it again, but if you're overclocking disable CAQ.

My 3700+ is at stock with CAQ enabled.

Me still testing, but have noticed which ever vcore i set the CnQ seems to up the vcore to 1.47 (goes to auto) when CPU is on load. Gonna leave it on for bit longer.

ok noticed that sumtimes CPU-Z reports clock 20mhz more or less sometimes, wheni 1st start it but everest CPUID gets it right. So far happy but i know this is not 100 safe but so far so good.
primed for over an hour n half on blend no errors temps did go upto 51*C

If i increase my CPU FSB over 250 would i need to up the chipset volts?
