ram scoring low in vista experience index

I know this thing doesn't really mean much should my ram score not be higher than that? it was around 5.2 with an overclocked opteron (opty 165 @ 2.7 ghz), obviously the rams not clocked as high here but its also not on a divider, think it was at 133mhz last time around. :confused:

whats your ram? 333mhz or 400mhz?

well its only running at 337mhz

it should be 500mhz

It is? Dunno how, im using a shuttle system and ive not noticed any settings out of the ordainary.

it looks like u have mix ram timings... they must be all the same

That CPU-Z report is weird... it doesn't know your cpu information fully, it says you're running your RAM in single channel, and also says you have 69632 meg of RAM? Are you running the latest version?

CPU-Z 1.39 is the latest version...

single channel is maybe because he has mix ram stick timings

Thing is the ram is a dual channel set i got a while back from ocuk. worked fine with my dfi board. The reason its not detecting the cpu properly is the shuttles an sn25p and im using an earlier bios, i tried updating to the latest bios and it didn't seem to want me to overclock at all, so i flashed back to an earlier version.

If i try and set the memclock to 250mhz the system refuses to boot. Im thinking i might need to upgrade my bios. The cpuz thing showing the ram as 68xxx is also strange, gonna try booting into xp to see if vista is causing any isues.

edit: same in xp

beginning to think i should run memtest or upgrade my bios to the latest.

it seems to be that 1 stick..... try removeing it

Removed it and check in windows it was the right one, rebooted into bios set memclock to 250mhz and no reboot till i cleared the bios and it was reset to 200.

Just updated my bios as well, same thing

have to email gskill to get it sorted out now =/ Almst a certainty they dont do cross shipping.

are you sure your motherboard can take Pc 4000 250mhz?

Its a shuttle sn25p so afaik it can. Just checked on google and seen a few systems on hardocp with this kind of ram in it.
