Ok no fanboys please just looking to get some imfomation to see what card would be better out of the two. :)

We don't know yet as we've not had any legit reviews, but so-called leaked benchmarks put the X1950 ahead of the 7950. The NDA is lifted tomorrow, so you'll find out soon enough as there will be a flood of reviews on sites like Anandtech, FiringSquad, Xbit Labs, Guru3D and Tom's Hardware. :)

Well id go along with the x1950 matching the 7950 GX2, and also beating it in some cases, thats according to Gibbo, and seen as he deals with ATi directly then id say he knows what hes talking about. :)

Aye, true. I forgot he'd seen them in action (how could I forget that? lol.)

I will be amazed if the x1950 is way faster than the GX2.

I have seen GX2's getting 19,000 3d marks with conroe running at my speeds and I cant see an x1950 getting that.

We all know that 3d marks dont mean absolute gaming perfromance but its a good indicator.

well for one even if the Nvidia part is just that bit quicker i wouldnt care the fact of the matter is would you pay £315 for the highest ATI X1950XTX or pay over £400+ for a Nvidia part ??????

that should make your mind up right there.

Well lets wait and see the prices, but i would'nt be suprised if they were more like £350+ tbh as ive seen it before. :p

Hi there

Just wait for the reviews chaps.

Between X1950 and 7950 GX2 there is no outright winner. The X1950 wins some and the 7950 GX2 wins some others.

Evenly matched cards but X1950 is a single core solution, compatible with all games as no need for SLi profiles and will be cheaper. :)

Tomorrow there should be plenty of reviews for you all to read.

Remember the X1950 is 10-15% quicker than the X1900 XTX it replaces. :)

hmm cant be right ? i always thought 17.5% = £17.50p ontop of the price ?
No, it's 17% of the price added on again. Hence the %.

Wish it was. :D

Then the Connect3D XTX would only be Price: £219.95 (£237.45 Including VAT at 17.5%)

Instead of Price: £219.95 (£258.44 Including VAT at 17.5%) :(

It sure is right. I have a breakdown of it right here in front of me. (I am a training accountant)

Its 17.5% of the net price not just 17.50 on top.
