We're coming round to that time of year again. It's the last chance for teams to buy in extra talent before the end of the season. What do you think will be some of the bigger transfer moves this January?

Looks like both Keane and Ballack could be going to Madrid, Simao Sabrosa could be coming to Anfield with Dudek traveling in the opposite direction. Cisse could be off as well.

Barcalona --> West Ham on loan.

Shevchenko, Ronaldinho, Eto'o, Henry, my mate Dave --> Chelsea. :p

I get the feeling Liverpool have a big transfer lined up,not a clue who tho, just a feeling from the players recent interviews
Cisse is almost a cert to go i would have thought,as he's the only player with a biggish pricetag we can afford to let go

If Cisse is indeed on his way out then they better bloomin' well have a big transfer lined up as he's currently the closest thing we've got to a proper forward.

I really can't see how we'll be able to achieve anything with Crouch and Morientes up front every week with only Mellor and Pongolle as backup.

Can't see Cisse leaving unless he decides to leave himself. Forget the press stories the guy waited 2 years to sign for us, gets married to a local girl and wearing a red suit. Also why sell another striker when cisse has scored more than the other two put together and it would also leave us with only 2 strikers. If he does go who are we going to sign who'll guarantee us goals as neither crouch nor morientes seems capable of being the regular goal scorer. Who is available that can guarantee at least 15 goals before the end of the season?

I'll speculate that we'll sign maybe 2 players, I hope one is a good centre half as an injury to either hyppia or carragher could leave us struggling.

If anyone leaves I hope its josemi or kewell as I think both will get us some money.

Yeah,it stinks tbh.I think he's had a really rough time with Benitez, through no fault of his own.Not only is he the only striker who can strike,he's the only player in the squad with a decent turn of speed. We're not using either  It must be soooo frustrating for him

But how much **** can you expect him to take, esp when he's got the WC coming up? Every game he is either on the bench or on the right wing.If he can't get on ahead of Crouch when Crouch can't score ,what hope has he got once Crouch actually finds the net? -(well i expect it will be a case of the ball richocheting of his backside when he actually breaks his duck-its his only hope )
He even had to give up a peno-take to the hapless beanpole, for what good that did us.

He does have the pace etc but his attitude stinks. If he sorts the attitude then i'm sure things will be much better, but I think we need wingers and a CB. that is it. Though Pongie is off to Betis I heard on the radio this morning.

Attitude? He's doing a lot better than I would in that situation. Its obvious he loves the club (as stated from the getting married in a red suit, etc) and he doesn't half put work in when he's on the pitch. Must be driving him to distraction that he's being so badly managed. Its like Foollier all over again.

On topic, Leeds are after Quashie. If we can't get Miller on a longer term loan/permanent deal then I'd like to see Quashie come in, though he'll command a decent fee.

Hands off him :p

Doubt he'd go to Leeds to be honest. He said at the start of the season that he wanted to try and get them promoted again as he and the players were responsible for putting them where they are now.

Next season, when we fail to get promoted, you can take him :p

We'll be looking at better players than that when we're in the Prem ;)

If Mandaric gets his man then Quashie might want to join a club with a real chance of promotion, and a couple of decent goalscorers to play with.

When Fuller finds his form and Omerod leaves (god only knows why he is still playing for us...) we'll be scoring for fun :p

But yeah, if Redknapp was to leave, I think Quashie would be more likely to join him again at Portsmouth.
