I haven't worked since I left college at age 18 (only for 5 months in a cake factory) and I'm now 21. I don't know what to do. At least this thread will make some people feel better about therselfs :D

I'm going to go kill myself now, thank you.

What are the good things in your life at the moment?

You HAVE to list at least 5 things !!

Allways makes me smile :)

What do you want to do as a career?

Do you have a CV? Is it any good? I assume not?

People here will probably help if you ask the right questions.

is your problem lazyness or just can't get a job because of emtional/educational/other reasons?

as you are at home a lot why not learn how to program? try making some money online and then back pack off to some nice topless beach for a week :D

LOL

I wasted mine skating and playing video games I guess. I didn't try at College just bummed about on MSN and etc. If I went back I would put in 100% effort as I'm more mature in a learning sense now.

I'd like a career in IT but it just seems impossible to me. I don't beleive I could get one. I can't afford uni or college even. Sometimes I don't see the point in getting out of bed. I'm kinda lazy but only because I don't beleive as I'm too old for apprentices and too poor for further education. I could learn programming thanks for that idea I may try.

Not great huh? Gimpymoo - The good things in my life right now are my girlfriend of 3 years, my 2 friends, my cat, my pc, going to gym.

Why not get a job in even a retail store or anything to build up some money? Better doing something than nothing. There is support services for education you know...

Have you removed identifiable information from that before uploading it, if not, delete the link and remove such information then reupload.

There are some weirdos online you know :)

Don't apprenticeships go up to the age of 21?

I'm in the same situation where I cannot afford further education & can't do apprenticeships cause I'm 22, I got offered a fork lift course, but can't do that cause I'm on job seekers allowance & they only allow people working to do the course, which I find really really lame.

Tried to get an IT course through learn direct again can't get one through them cause they have too many people going for it.

It is all just blah at the moment.

Join the army. Try and do something IT related. :)

@Your OP: Killing yourself? Think of that moment as you are fading away, you realise what the **** you have just done. People do a lot worse and survive. =P

wrong. you know if you apply for uni, you can get a student loan, which is available to people who are below 45 years of age.

edit* and besides if u apply for a student loan, uni'd be free. irrc as the gov would pay for your fee
