Hi,

Thought i'd create a new thread as it saves people from reading the whole FAQ on my older one i did in November where i was researching on my build.

So far, im ready to order TONIGHT!! (Im So Excited!!)

I am so far going with:

akprq.jpg

+ a I5 3570K which i forgot to add but did the screenshot already.

What do you guys think? The PSU Is out of stock so may be looking at either PC Power Cooling or seasonic as you guys recommended.

Also, is there any gains from going from 12800mhz ram to 14,400mhz?

Would i need extra fans as i will be OC'ing the 3570k?

Thanks :)

+ One more thing.

I keep thinking im going to need more then 550W of Power.

Im looking to add another 7950 come around March time maybe for Cross fire (As it doesn;t support SLI).

Do you think 550W Could handle all of these?

What is your max budget?

If you want to xfire at a later date you would want at least a 750w Psu and a better mobo. I would also change that ssd.

I just did a PSU Power Calculator and said at 90% i'll need 707W so i will be looking at a 750W in that case.

Whats wrong with that SSD? Seems fast at R/W Speeds or is there more to it to consider?

Budget for the moment is £800 max.

Yeah i have a DVD Drive/ OS and HDD already.

The crucial SSD is lower write speed than the Corsair one. Is it a better SSD altogether then i take it? What factors do we have to take in our head when selecting a SSD?

Thanks.

A Nice set up this looks like

The write speed looks good, but is only applicable when doing certain tasks. But it is not that great in every day use. Have a look through the link, this will better explain.

I'd suggest that bud. No real need for SLi/Xfire, just adds cost to the mobo and your PSU needs. 500W to 550W is more ample for a single GPU setup. The 830 SSD is out of stock but that is the SSD I would recommend to hunt down. The 840 writes slower and is smaller in capacity, the 840 Pro writes almost as fast as it reads.....much better than the standard 840 and the 830 but is £110. I kept the bequiet heatsink, the fans are good (I have one in my BeQ L8630W) not sure I can get you to change it. The seasonic G series 550W is £76, its very nice and is gold rated with more amps on the 12V rail but the P&C is still a viable option and is cheaper.

I;ve fallen in love with this one!!

So i have it down between the 830 or the Intel 330 Series...

Intel uses the sandforce controller.....we favour the one found in the samsung for reliability. Glad you like the spec :)

I would prefer the seasonic G series 550W. It's black which I like, has more amps on the 12V rail and is gold rated for efficiency. It's a little more cash and the P&C is fine really, it's your money how you balance it I shall leave to you :)
