N70 Orange Firmware Users

I found a way of getting rid of the nasty idle screen bar thing that the orange firmware n70's seem to have. Switch off the phone, now switch it back on with your finger firmly on the button with the pencil on. The phone will restart in safe mode meaning no apps will auto load i.e. the orange ****. Only downside to this is that the date, time an network/batt stuff dissapears from the background screen but the phone works fine, a bit faster as well!

dude, iu have tried that 5 times now and nothing, even kept it on when inputting PIN and also let go when inputting PIN and stil nothing ? mmmmm trip to sheffield i thinks, or send the ruddy thing back and get something else, thats not Orange

turn the pin off and retry, you need ot be very patient, keep holding the button down, then switch the phone on an keep ya finger on the button, takes about 10-15 seconds longer for the phone to switch on but i assure you, it works
