Hey,

I've borrowed this from work to see how it works from normal use, the first time I held it last week I knew I didnt like it, the build quality is so shoddy, it is really rattley and loose and it just feels totally empty and cheap, Nokia have had a dud with this handset. 3 of our dummies have broken as the spring is easily broken in the slider. If you look from the top the spring system seems to be exactly the same in the phone, so I can imagine lots of these coming back for repair.

Build quality is the sole reason I would not get this phone, however, its features do NEARLY outweigh that con, its got nearly everything on here, 3d games run very well, bluetooth, mp3 player, 2mp camera, good video, miniSD slot, 3G, everything you would expect, and the screen is very sharp and bright, the loudspeaker is pretty impressive too, doesnt distort that much. However the keypad feels again cheap. If you're after a nokia slider I suggest you dont get this one, or just wait for the N80 which I hope to be picking up.

Here are some pics of it (taken with my 903, sorry bout the darkness) (pics up in a min)

I've heard a lot of bad things about this phone and although it does have some good features nothing can forgive shoddy quality and horrible software.

looks quite nice but again if the quality isn't up to scratch for what you pay for it's not gunna be much fun, i too am looking to get an N80 when it comes out - i'm just hoping i can get hold of one over the next month as thats when i'm off uni :p would like to muck about with it at home before heading back :)

N80 is due for 20th april...on another note n91 is due for 10th april, however vodafone and nokia are a bit carp with ETAs lol

mmm i hope the 20th is correct cos i really don't want to wait too much longer - was even going as far as looking at getting an N90 but having never had a flip phone i just wasn't comfortable with the idea - i don't really know if the phones any good anyways :p

Heres something to ease your mind about the N90 -

-Horrific battery Life
-Horrific Size :P
-Camera Quality is worse than SE K750
-NO VIBRATE ALERT!

:) I think the best phones coming out would have to be the N80 and the new XDA Mini with 3g and I think HSDPA?

Just to ket you know the N80 should be coming to O2 (that's assuming you're on O2 :p) around the 15th May; I sent them an email and apparently that's when the N80 and N91 will be launched.

Taking that with a sackful of salt though :p

t3h

Not sure why the Vodafone 6280 would be such bad quality, but my friends 6280 on Three is very good. The slide does wobble from side to side a little, but I can't say I've noticed any feeling of emptiness, and the plastic it's made from is both pleasing to look at and has a nice feel to it. If you want a phone that feels empty and hollow, try the 6270... I had one for a day and it went straight back. The build quality was dreadul and like I say, it felt like there was nothing to it (coming from using an 8800 which is a very solid, compact but heavy phone). The 6280 is certainly acceptable.

its not bad, but certainly nothing compared to other Nokias, SEs and even motorolas at this price range. This phone is soon going to be on PAYG, and it feels it.

Before it came out on vodafone, I wanted this phone until I went into the ThreeStore and felt it... :(
