Radeon X1900xt, what temps do you get?

I'd take the cooler off and check the thermal paste is actually present and its nicely spread out.

My powercolor x1900xt runs at about 45 and upto 65 playing games.

Since installing this mother i've noticed my Opteron 146 is sitting at around 45 it used to barely get over 35 when i had my nvidia 6800le.

The heat these ati badboys spit out is mad !

64C @ 666/1602

I have ATi Tool controlled fan speeds, and ive set them between 30% @ 30C, 50% at 50C, to 100% @ 70C.

Works nicely, cat really hear it over games... yet

Would applying arctic silver 5 instead of the thermal paste make any difference? Has anyone tried?

32C Idle & 42C load @ 690/800 :D Before i stuck my block on,mine was hitting 90C under load  106C when first installed

Applying AS5 would be better than the generic goop that they use.

Thanks mate, thought I was going insane or that every temp monitor was wrong. My Big TT kept my cpu (at 3.0ghz 1.52v) at 32 idle and 36 load when had the neo2 and x800xt but now with my x1900 its 38 idle and 46 load.

Might have to cut a blowhole in side of beloved lian li unless you or anyone else has a solution/

38-41 idle, 65-85 during play. It's much lower when using Vsync, I guess because of locked 60fps it's doing less work?

ATI Tool doesn't detect my ATI X1900 for some reason, it doesn't look anything like the above. Also the cube video doesn't play, do I need the Avivio driver for that? Currently just have the display drivers and not WDM or Avivio (about 3 or 4 yellow exclation in device manager which are probably ATI devices, except videocard which is in display)

I have 2 1900's in crossfire, and they do spit some of their heat back into the case. This is exactly why I have not become over excited about the new coolers that are available, both of the designs DO NOT exhaust any of the air outside the case like the stock coolers.

From the review I've seen of the new coolers, they certainly beat the stock solution at cooling the core of the graphics cards, however (take this with a bit of salt) the review also stated that the cpu temps rose by another 3 degrees with the new coolers in place. I have seen a more honest person saying that his moboard/cpu temps rose quite a bit with the Accelero 2........

For those of us who are overclocking on air, this could mean reduced overclocks, when not using the stock cooler.
When dual core cpu's hit 49oC, stabilty at overclock suffers...........

Are you using the lastest beta version of ATITool? (as in the pic)

My Xfire X1900 report similar temps... i have noticed that the temps are much higher when running in Xfire mode. I use Cat 6.3's

I have a suspission that in Xfire mode the temps are not read correctly, they may even be doubling up in some way. What makes me feel its odd is that even at 95c reported in Overdrive, the fans are only on the second speed level (thats with the ATI setiings, no changed made in ATI tool). If running at these temps was an issue, ATI would make the fans run full speed???

I am not worried. I dont trust the temps reported at all, but have confidence because the individual cards are not running thier fans at high speed.
