Hi,
Anyone else having trouble with this quest.

Fire,
Cold,
Inc Mana
Dec Mana

Everytime I use the Inc Mana the stone risers. I have tried pretty much all the combo's. There's a possibility that the Inc mana is something else? Anyone else cracked this. Sorry to ask but its driving me nuts!
 
I used:

av molag anyammis = Flare (spell)

av mafre nagaia = Snowball (spell)

magika sila = Elevate Magika (scroll)

magika loria = Sever Magika (spell)

I fired all of them through the gem things and onto the pillar.

Just sussed it. It was one of those last go moments!
Fire
Ice
Damage magica
Elevate magica

I was stumped on that part too... the fire/ice ones were no bother, but I was all over the place trying to buy Magika spells, lol.
 
Must say the more I play the better it gets. Makes wow look so shallow.

now trying to find a book about black soul stones. great stuff

heheh if you just looked in the chest next to the guy watching you you would have found all the spells you needed to complete the quest plus some :)

That would have been really fun but I felt that the AI held your hand to much in sussing it out.
 
I already had the fire/ice spells and I got the Elevate Magika scroll from that chest, but I wasn't sure about the drain magika one so I went to try and find/buy a spell from a Mages Guild.

Best game I've played in ages, my current save game Play Time is 60 hours and I haven't even done that much. :)

Trying to build up magika just now, I'm a Master of Blades, but i've been neglecting magic so far and I hardly have access to any of the good spells (not enough Magika).
