Say you're talking on a subject and you have a dissagreement with another member. Don't you hate it when they decide to turn their attention towards the spelling of your posts, or some other personal trait of yours?

Why is that? and why is it so hard to ignore them? I'll give you an example:

ok so yeah, that was quite obviously directed towards me, and not the first time i might add. In a nut shell, this person assumed i know nothing about a particual subject and went straight for the antagonistic comments. It seems to me that a tattoo is the easiest thing to attack when you don't have anything valid to add. Sometimes, its so damn hard to ignore people like this, so come on guys - whats the best way to handle them?

Pointing out the fallacy of their argument in a cogent manner is far more satisfying these days

Resorting to ad hominem attacks generally means you've made a good point...

Tbh though you did kinda start it there with the (IMO) unnecessary hostility in your reply.

Apathy can be a useful trait on forums as well.

Ignore. I think a lot of times though its the way a posters attitude is perceived. I recall myself getting into a similar argument with yourself actually, lol. It was the way you replied to the thread, didnt answer the qestion I asked.

HAHAHA.

The only trouble i have is that i cant leave things to rest. especially if somebody is willing to attack me like that to get a point across. Yes it has got me in trouble before, yes i am weak lol. I just dont like people stomping in with their size 12's and giving people the wrong information.
