Just got a call from my Cousin who told me that he was in his friends car when his friend decided to pull over and pop in the shop.

He left the keys in the car, so my cousin decided to stay and wait. Whilst he was waiting, about 10 boys (14-16) opened the doors and started kicking and beating him. So my cousin leans over and snaps the key in the ignition but unfortunately, there was still a little poking out so that they could turn it.

Anyway, as he did that, one of the lads shouted "Slice him open, the cheeky ******", then one of the lads got a knife out and swung for him. Luckily my cousin got out of the way but before driving off, they continued to kick him and beat him up down the road a little.

For the thieves; they got a brand new Audi car, including log book, with £1,000 in cash on the dashboard.

This is in the area were all the shootings in Liverpool have been taking place. An area that seems to be getting much much worse. He was there because he's a self-employed builder and he was working on a house.

What the hell is this country coming to? He's just like me. Quiet and keeps himself to himself. Thankfully, he did some quick thinking this time around.

Just needed to rant!

Phil.

Damn, lucky escape by your cousin dude. Could have been much worse by the sounds of it.

This country is going to Hell in a handcart. Fast.

Sorry to hear that. What was the reason for it? Just random idiots causing trouble, or did they intend to nick the car?

Why would you have £1000 in cash on the dashboard out of interest?

I think that's asking for trouble if you pull over and stop. You can't do that in this day and age anywhere, let alone Liverpool. :(

The car will be insured, but the cash won't be. Hopefully they can track the gits down and get some prints from the car. Hopefully your cousin is OK, hope he feels better soon. :(

Scotlands the same man.. its everywhere you go. Me and a couple of friends were skating when we got jumped by about 8 guyts of ages 14 - 16. the attack was unprovoked and put my friend in hospital for the night. Getting kicked repeatedly in the face isnt the nicest thing in the world.

Britain is going DOWNHILL

My thoughts too, surely that amount of cash should be kept safe, especially in an area like that.

Glad he's ok :)

Feel bad for your cousin matey but who in there right mind keeps £1K and a log book in a car? not your cousins fault hope the scum bags get caught and delt with probably end up with community service with our laws tho  .

NOT clever. Hopefully the guy will learn a lesson. We shouldn't have to live in a world in which you have to hide all of your valuable belongings, but unfortunately, we do.

If hes a self employed builder doing a job there might be a reason he has £1000 cash, like he just got paid for a job?

I didn't ask. I imagine it was for building materials or some such. Putting it on the dashboard was silly, but maybe the place was just around the corner? I'm not sure.

They seen that he popped out of the car, leaving the keys in it. Their intention was to steal it and probably give the guy in it a beating. They have no respect for anything or anyone.

buuuugger thats bad but tbh u were kinda asking for it, said ya self its in a rough area and u pull up in a brand new audi gonna get u attention and u got £1000 cash on the dashboard, couldnt of been expecting a warm welcoming

What ever happened to go old fist fights tho! I hate it when they have to be in gangs to do anything. I had a group of kids after me around this way, all trying to beat me up kick the car etc.. he was all mouth til i see him on his own when i was ****** gave him a few slaps didnt like it then i get a small army after me supposely wanting to knife me :| Even when i was in school it was 1 v 1 if u had a problem with some 1 no hiding behind "crews" or weapons

tbh :(

Its easy to say I know but, money can be replaced and his car is insured. The main thing is nobody was hurt.

Its also the perfect excuse to install a flamethrower on his next car ;)

The money wasn't for all to see, it was in an envelope.

I think my cousins ok, he said he got a couple of good kicks; one right on his ear which is killing him and another on his arm which has gone numb.

This is so bad. This country is getting real bad and real fast. There are almost no area's you can go and feel 100% safe. Someone needs to do something about it, if they are doing something they gotta try harder. I hope your cousin recovers 100% and gets is insurance money. Those gits better get whats comming to them...

The law is too light on people like those..
