I sent a webnote about possible release dates for the XPC SN37P2, got this in response.

We are currently in the process of ending our Shuttle contract and cannot guarantee availability of any products.

Must not be selling well or something, or the fact that shuttle are total idiots when it comes to replacement parts, want a replacement for that usb\sound input cover that broke off? yeah you have to buy a new shuttle. :(

While im on the subject does anyone have any info regarding the release of the XPC SN37P2 ?

iirc OcUK had problems with shuttles before due to rma's and parts and stoped stocking their products for a time so maybe they havent improved

they only stocked shuttles again because they mnaged to get a decent arrangement with shuttle with RMA's etc.

but tbh its very poor!

OcUK say 7 day RMA turn around. when i RMA'd my SN85G4V3 in begennin of feb, it took them almost 3 weeks to get it back to me and i had to phone them everyday. they kept tellin me that i had to wait 2 weeks for them to get some more mobo's in from germany. but after a bit of pestering from me and OcUK they magically found one to send me

as much as i like shuttles, OcUk could do well to drop them i think. at least until a time when shuttle and enta group (the people who do the RMA's) can sort them selves out and actually live up to arrangments made

Ive hear a lot of bad things aobut shuttle in general, they never seem to want to give out replacements to parts of the shuttle that have been damaged. I remember reading a guy had a dead mobo on his shutle he asked them for a new one and promptly got told to buy a new shuttle, same issue with drive covers, the actual casing etc.

Hopefully OcUK will stock more of the other makes now. Can't understand why people still buy shuttles when there are better, quieter, nicer units for a cheaper price.

Not good news when I am just about to recieve my 25P from OCUK

I actually think the older models are reasonably priced, but dont think an SLI enabled one is worth £100 more ( no blame attached to OCUK, just my opinion on shuttle pricing of this particular model)

More selection from OCUK would be fabulous in the SFFs would be great, I have to say though that out of what OC have now shuttle's do look the best to me. The one good thing being new to SFF is that there are a lot of people with experience of them in partucular, as apposed to one you build completely from scratch

It is really sad indeed if Shuttle behaves like this.
I have a SB61G2 and so far I can only say good things about it, of course I have never been involved with RMA for that matter.

If there are other barebones of similar quality as Shuttle ones I'm glad to hear them. I really like Shuttle cuz of the excellent build quality, bios updates, software tools etc.

I'm also tempted for a mac mini TBH.

You have me interested now.

I have just finished raising the money to buy an SN25P

So which SFF machine is better, quieter, nicer and cheaper ?

We will not be ending our agreement with Shuttle at all. I'm not sure who told you that but it is not true.

Thats great to hear but any chance of extending the range of shuttle accessories in the near future ? :D
