I keep getting a Nvidia sentinel warning when I boot into windows about my 7800gs Bliss 512mb AGP card not having enough power & it will run at lower settings to prevent damage. All cables are connectly properly & I have tried 2 psu's (530w & 600w) it happens with both. It happens with any version of Forceware drivers I use too & the temp. never goes above 50c. BIOS version on my card is 5.70.02.13.GP.
I've emailed support about this but wondered if anyone had any ideas whilst I wait for a reply.
Cheers:)

Could be a loose connection on the power socket on the back of the card, are you able to try it in another PC?

From the stuff you've tried already it sounds like a problem with the card rather than user error.

Dunno if it's related but i got that warning out of the blue yesterday with my 7800 gtx and a hiper 480w psu. I removed the pcie cable and moved the wire about a bit then put it back in and it went away but it's back this morning. New tagan on the way for me. The hiper 480w had been running with no problems for 5 months.

I had lots of trouble when i tried the forceware drivers, the latest couldnt even detect my display adapter so its didnt really no what card it was.

I picked up one of those on the way home today (530w) hoping that would sort it out but it didn't:(
On further testing it happens when the system has been running for a while, but it's doesn't seem temperature related as that never seems to go up

Oh well my hiper is a bit carp anyway lol. I just played bf2 and css for a few hours and no probs at all, dunno what's going on. Yesterday it was spamming the power message about 300 times in a row, today it displayed it twice. Haven't a clue tbh.

Whta did you do with the replacement card?

Just wondered, after you RMA'd it, What did you do with the replacement card?

Just incase anyone else is till having this problem, I'm running the Gainward 7800GS 512mb Bliss with a Tagan 580w-U22 psu which has a 34a 12v rail and I'm also getting the sentinel warning. I too thought it was temperature related as it has been very hot here the last few days, but again with me my temps haven't changed much maybe a couple of degrees higher at most.
