problem with iPod.

i have a 30gb iPod video. i havent connected it to my computer for about a week or so. i plug it in today and it doesnt seem to be getting recognised by itunes or the updater. it gets recognised in my computer and i can use the Safely remove hardware feature, but its not automatically being recognised and updated by itunes like it used to. i've tried doing the restore feature on the iPod but this hasn't done anything. any ideas?

have you tried to force it to disk mode whenyou plug it in? and when its seen by windows is it seen as a removovable drive or a formatted ipod? i had a simliar problem and ended up haveing to format it.

I've just had this problem myself I updated Itunes to the latest version and then went to control panel > printers and other hardware > add hardware > next and then selected ipod and followed the steps, it seemed to do the trick for me.
