I have just spoken to AOL this morning and they hadn't placed an order for 1Mbit yet =/

Anyway one has definatly been placed today, the person on the phone says it will take 4-5 working days. Do BT wholesale usually take this long? Or have you known it to be quicker?

As we said before, move to MAX, forget 1mbit, its utterly pointless, you will get a far higher data rate via max.

As i've said before, AOL don't seem to have heard of ADSL Max.

Hmmm...

Well I guess they will be putting everyone on max eventually anyway?
I used to be with AOL and as I was out of contract I migrated away and am now enjoying speeds of around 3.5 Mb on Max DSL compared to 1 Mb before which is all my line could take.

I seemed to get a different answer everytime I contacted them and so gave up in the end.
I think that all Platinum customers will be upgraded to Max DSL by the end of june and Gold and Silver members will have to wait even longer!

I was upgraded over night, just for those that are interested here are the stats:

ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 1152 kbps 288 kbps
Line Attenuation 57 db 15.5 db
Noise Margin 15 db 24 db
