its basically about humour and laughing at tragic events and those who seem to believe we should never laugh and stay in reverand mouring over these events for the rest of our days...

a few examples...

the Second world war... 80 million dead, yet weve all been laughing out pants off for the last 50 years due to one joke or comedy or another sketch ect ect,

Ethiopia... how many jokes did you hear about this place in your life? be honest, a bucket load...

Paedophiles... they made a show involving comedy sketches based around the subject of paedophiles called Private eye, many of you thought it was brilliant...



so why in the name of god do some of you dissaprove as if youve become jesus christ himself when i stick a picture of the world trade centres up with an ammusing comment???

IF we didn't shout in Horror at stuff like the trade centre's the Patriot's would get us ;)
 
people are abused, people die, terrible things happen everyday, humour makes them no less terrible, and it doesnt remove our respect for those events, so i say anyone should be allowed to make jokes about anything.


i guess its politically correct people that get my goat.
 
Aye, but when you post a picture and directly take the mick out of it not incorparated into a joke its just stupid.

Theres a time and a place for everything, but just incase people take offence you're best keeping quiet.

Edit: As for the trade centre attacks, i find nothing about it amusing in any such form, but i have a great sense of humor.

then i suggest you get a thicker skin because im not a person to keep quiet just for the sake of causing some people with double standards offence.

If you posted a picture of some WW2 soldier being shot and lying on the ground dying, bleeding his guts and put some humurous caption on the end of it, im sure few would laugh.

If you put a picture up of someone shoving a pineapple in hitlers ass, everyone will laugh.

It was called Brass Eye, Private eye is a satirical magazine. And it was funny because it was less about the wrongness of any such acts, and more about media spin/hype/knee jerk reactionary behaviour.

I don't know what picture you're refferring too, but it's probably in bad taste. If people make jokes about wars and such, they aren't generally "OMG Loads of people died, how funny".

All jokes have there place, though my Grandad did die in a Deathcamp in WW2, he accidentally fell out of a machinegun tower while gunning down dirty gypsies.
