I recently purchased some ram for a Vaio laptop from Crucial's website. Now the CPU is an Intel Celeron M @ 1.6Ghz. See CPU-Z screenshot below,
What I would like to know is why is the FSB at 100Mhz? Obviously this is 100x16 to equal 1.6Ghz, but 100Mhz on the RAM is way to slow?! Surely it should be at 266Mhz which is the default for the RAM?
I'm a little confused as I own AMD setups, but why is the bus speed at 400Mhz? That to me is the Memory speed, i.e. PC3200. Yet the CPU is only running at 100Mhz?
What I would like to know is how to I get the CPU to run at 266Mhz with a Multiplier of 6. (266x6 = 1.6Ghz) As you can see below, the RAM is only running at 100Mhz.
Thanks for any help as it sounds to me that the bandwidth is really low, and I thought intel's needed more bandwith, but I'm baffled by how this all works and ties in. I have looked in the BIOS but there are no options for changing any settings.
