I've been wanting to build a pc for the first time for around 6 months now. Something always crops up to make me not do it but i finally have £650 to spend on a base unit. I want a general all round pc for some gaming, browsing, movies etc. I've come up with the following spec but can anyone see any glaring errors or can suggest any possible improvements. I know 2gb of ram would be nice but i'm trying to keep costs down and ram is easy to upgrade later.

Antec Sonata II Piano Black Quiet Case - 450W Smart Power PSU (CA-040-AN) £66.92 Including VAT

Asus A8N-E nForce4 Ultra (Socket 939) PCI-Express Motherboard (MB-088-AS) £64.57 Including VAT

AMD Athlon 64 3700+ San Diego 90nm (Socket 939) - OEM (CP-150-AM) £119.79 Including VAT

Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro CPU Cooler (Socket 754/939/940) (FG-000-AR) £17.57 Including VAT

Corsair 1GB DDR XMS3200C2PT TwinX (2x512MB) CAS2 (MY-030-CS) £68.09 Including VAT

Connect3D ATI Radeon X1800 XT 256MB GDDR3 AVIVO TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail (GX-044-CO) £170.32 Including VAT

Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320GB ST3320620AS SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM (HD-078-SE) £75.14 Including VAT

Mitsumi FA 404M 7in1 USB 2.0 Floppy & Media Drive - Black (HD-002-MI) £15.22 Including VAT

NEC ND4570 16x16 DVD±RW Dual Layer ReWriter (Black) - OEM (CD-030-NE) £25.79 Including VAT

Total inc VAT + Delivery £635.09

Any ammendments you can suggest?

I'd really aim for 2GB RAM because its harder/more expensive to upgrade memory later than say, a hard disk. I like the new 7200.10 but I think the prices are inflated at the moment - so thats one area I'd make a sacrifice for more RAM ;) On the latter again, even OcUK Value or Geil Value will do quite well! Some people have them on some nice tight timings & 1T :)

EDIT: Might not be the same, but I have my 1GB OcUK Value sticks @ 200MHz (DDR400), 2.5-3-3-8, 1T & 2.6v
