I read a few months back that FilmFour was going to become free to view. Does anybody know when this is happening. I'm sure it was sometime this month.

As of July, IIRC. That's what it says on the test card anyway.

Sometime in July, I think. Switch on More4+1 when they're not showing anything and it should tell you. I think it's More4+1... I think it's channel 31.

It will replace More 4+1, if you do a rescan it will now come up as FilmFour. At the moment there is a holding page which states a July launch.

The story behind the move is that with the growing take up of Freeview but the lack of a free movie channel, Channel 4 made the inspired commercial decision that the advertising revenue will be worth way more than the subscription.
