Managed to grab a Gamecube + Controller + 2 memory cards + RGB scart for £8.99 + Postage so I'm looking to start building up a bit of a collection for it :D

Already got:

Star Wars: Rogue Leader
Mario Kart: Double Dash

Was going to get Super Mario Sunshine but someone told me this wasn't very good? Super Smash Bros: Melee is on my list as well - worth giving Zelda a go?

Been looking at Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes as well but this seems to go for about £20 second hand - is it worth it?

Basically I'm a Nintendo n00b other than the odd session of Melee/Kart so would appreciate any advice for games to get/avoid :)

I'm amazed at how cheap a lot of the stuff is now

I would recommend the following:

Mario Sunshine

Zelda: wind waker

Resident Evil 4 (provided you haven't played the PS2 version)

Paper Mario: thousand year's door

Tales of Symphonia

Metroid Prime 2

One of those Mario Party(4,5,6,7)
..........
..........

IMO MGS:TS is not really that great, it only got the visual of MGS2. If you've played MGS3 you'll find it disappointing.

Resident Evil Remake (MUST HAVE)

Resident Evil 4

Tales of Symphonia

Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes

Edit: wait you got all that for 8.99 !?!?!?!?!

Must wait for the Wii so I can play them again.....

Doooooonkey Kongaaaaaa :D

I think Donkey Konga 2 is better, just I am not sure if a bongo is included as it does in 1.

Edited: didn't notice the price, did u get it from the auction site?

I wasn't quite lucky enough to get the games with the console for £8.99 :p

Auction 1 (£8.99 + £9 postage)

Gamecube (boxed with original cables)- very slight crack on casing but in perfect working order
Controller - B button doesn't press all the way in but still works
1x Official Memory card
1x 8Mb Logic3 Memory card
RGB Scart Cable

Postage seems a lot but it cost them £7.70 to send it via RM

Auction 2 (£5.99 + £2.50 P&P)

Official Gamecube controller - second hand but great condition

Games I bought seperately for a total of about £15

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll have a browse on the auction site to see what I can pick up cheap, I sooo under estimated this console before :D

IGN Rating: 9.6 Incredible - think it's worth a go at 8 quid!

Just got SSX: Tricky for a fiver (always been a big fan of the series but somehow missed this one) and Mario Sunshine for £8.

That lot should keep me occupied for quite a while then I'll come back and work my way through the thread...it's so tempting to just click buy it now for all of them but it can soon add up :o

Must buy for the gamecube???

Freeloader!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lets you run import games then the world is you oyster as some classics have been released across the pond that we will never see...

Bleach
Naruto
Shikigami No Shiro 2
Megaman Anniversary Collection
Megaman X Collection
Harvest Moon: Magic Melody
Radirgy Generic
Chaos Field

Other than that most of the good games have been mentioned but I'll add Ikaruga to that list.

Easily the second best shoot em up ever (first was Radiant Silvergun)

I have to complain about Donkey Konga, its longevity isn't very high compared to the second due to the rubbish Jam mode.

On Donkey Konga 2 you get mix mode and it doubles the playability but Jam mode sucks if you ask me :o

£8 is a steal for what I believe to be one of the top 5 console games of all time. You'll play through it 3 times, just to see the proper full ending, I guarantee it :)
