Why can't we make our own polls?

Just curious as to why we can't make our own polls on this forum?

I like a good poll every now and again but the inconvinience of having to ask a don to do it puts me off. Plus i'm sure the dons have better things to do than make polls...

If its possible perhaps this could be changed?
I'm sure its not too difficult
