DFI & SLI:

I have a DFI LP nF4 SLI-DR mobo and I have been happy running a single GPU.

However, looking into running SLI (buying a second BFG OC 7800GT) I have come accross some disturbing threads where problems have been encountered as the PCI-e slots are very close together on this board, leading to some heat build up between the cards and ultimately shut downs and many problems have followed.

I am really struggling with this decision now, should I go SLI and deal with any problems I get (probably looking at £150 for a second card)

OR

Sell my 7800 GT and buy a faster single card solution ?

help & opinions most appreciated

option B really.
you could save a bit of cash and get a x1900xt.
save a shedload and buy a 7900gt.
or pay some more and get a 7900gtx if you want to go for the fastest single nvidia card available.
or you cold pay even more and get the 7950 gx2 and have sli through the one pcie slot
