OMG rolleyes of doom!!!!!111

Got to admit its a bt strange yesterday your running away to Australia now you've bought a scooter - infact my question was more than valid.

Its a scooter, it'll get you around and that particular one (from what I can see) looks quite nice.

Let us know how much it costs to ship won't you. :)

Actually if you read the thread I was asking for advice on how to go to Australia not saying OMG IM GONNA MOVE TO AUSTRALIA!!

Tut men!

Thank you about the scooter, it is nice.

never been a fan of scooters, think they are death traps. At least in a proper motorbike you have power to get out of the way of things.

Sounds good for the money but i know absolutly nothing about scootrers :(

as long as you dont sit 1" off people bumpers going BZZZZZZZZZZz and use the cycle things on chicanes to bypass them its all good ;)

or do skids just outside my house and result in my jumping in the car and drivng round town trying to find the scrotes and knock them off

as you can tell i really dont like scooters

BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzz...aaargh my head

but as long as you ride sensibly - its all good ;)

nice ped m8, dont listen to these comments it may sound like a hairdryer but its the only transport for a 16 year old, ill be getting one soon

Can 16 year olds no longer use public transport or something now? ;)

I say wait a year and put the money towards a car/driving lessons/provisional/theory etc. Much more worthwhile imo.

If you refrain from riding it like I rode mine, you'll do great!

The only downside to that scooter is that it's Italian. You have to remove most of the engine to do any kind of repair or maintenance on Gileras too.

I had a Gilera DNA 125 for two years to get me started on the road, before I even passed my car test. I ended up stacking it into a Jag X-Type when he whipped out of a side road on an NSL without a care in the world as he was looking right at me, hence why I didn't slow down. Testament as to why old people are dangerous, he was looking at me but didn't see me!

But then, I bring disaster with me wherever I go. Insurance companies drool when they see me and want my renewal.

The aftermath:

L Plates do indeed lose, but scooters are quite fun. I did 15,000 miles in 18 months on mine I think. Riding to College and Uni and back. I needed it as public transport dosen't stop in the countryside, it waves at you as it passes by.

Enjoy it, but be careful too!
