Dont think it flashed twice and i must only have been 10kms over the 90kmh limit (going from 110kmh to 90kmh limit).
Does anybody know if they will bother sending something to me in the UK and if so will it just be a finantial penalty.
Cheers

Me and Austin were flashed in Germany 12 months ago and didnt hear anything from it - Too Much paperwork and we were a bit over the limit IIRC

Lol, I got caught by a guy on the motorway with a speed camera, and a few of those grey boxes (the forward firing gatso things).

ditto, got stopped on a radar though, but they let me off, after they were supprised how much French I spoke and said I was sorry. Also got flashed by the grey boxes they have and heard nothing their either.

One of my mates got stopped doing 164kph on the motorway, he got a €90 fine and was send on his way. He doesn't speak much French but said they were pretty good about it.

I got caught by a speed trap just during Le Mans weekend and was mixed up in a convoy of Ferraris. Luckily the fuzz were more interested in the leaders of the group :D

They seem to use Ford Focuses as their motorway cars it seems, oh, helicopters too :p

There are currently no agreements in place for the French to demand payment from a British registered vehicle when using unmanned equipment. You will either receive nothing or if you do just lob it in the bin. If they wanted to charge you they would have to apply for extradition which I'm not sure they would bother with for a minor motoring offence.

My mate got flashed in France and has heard nothing. This was about 2 months ago, i too got flashed in Italy and have also heard nothing.

It seems they don't bother, it's the same here, if a French driver got flashed the British don't follow it up, they just let it go. To much effort / time to chase the vehicle up and also you wouldn't have much chance of defending it either (as if you were to say that the camera got your speed wrong, etc.)

Would'nt lose any sleep about it.

(Noticed how many foreign truckers zoom through roadwork speed cameras?)

For the same reason. ;)

I got flashed in france a few weeks back, and am yet to hear anything. I cant see what they would realistically do if you simply ignored it anyhow.

Until you get stopped with false plates on your car.

that's where the fake documents come in handy, can't see the police numbercheck system working for foreign countries too :p? Or hell, just buy a foreign car and register it at a foreign address :p

Basically the foreign authorities can't endorse your license directly but instead have to go through the police here to get it done, so they only bother for serious offences.

The big danger on the continent is getting pulled over as they'll sometimes hit you with large on-the-spot fine. I must confess that, following Tom for the last 100+ miles of our trip back to the ferry, my heart was in my mouth watching for police cars :D

around the tunnel?

that blinded me good just before i was going in just on the speed limit...

...oh they measure speed in kilometres there! ;) :p

toby - thing is they gotta catch me! lol! (hopes they never have road blocks or cars up ahead!)

one of they guys in our group back from Le Mans got pulled at just over 100mph (about 165kph) and was banned from driving in France for a period of time and fine 200 euros. the skyline he was playing with got clocked nearer 130mph and got 750 euro fine and a ban. the guy from our group had to get his passenger to drive it to the ferry!
