Goin Center Parcs Tommorow...Anyone been?

i went to sherwood center parcs with parents and my friend, dam it was a laugh :D

Do some activities, bit of advice, book them the day before because they can get booked up quickly, also get a bike to ride around on!

Im 25 :D

I don't fancy riding a bike, although I know i'll prob end up doing it because apparantly the villa we are in is about 20 mins from the main resort bit.

I think our main intention is just to relax, swim, a couple of activities!

Elveden Forest Centre Parcs is just about 10 miles away. Nice place, used to go there a lot... quite expensive really though, although the luxury/executive villas with spa baths are very cool.

TRUST ME get a bike ;) try take your own bike lock if you have one.

Its fun going to the driving range and aiming for rabbits at the other side of the field :p

Is £100 enough spending money?

We have food for 3 nights, and eating out once or twice.

Bike rental is £19 for the week I think , I dont have a bike lock :( I dont even have a bike :D lol

£100 each should be OK. You'll want to have a few beers and try a few of the activities...

I went to Elveden Forest last year and had a great time; it was very relaxing.

Upon returning home, however, the water tank had caused two ceilings to collapse and flooded the house, requring the service of 'Munters' (I know  ).

Thats the one we are going to :)

There were definitely some nice restaurants to eat out in and quite a few activities.

My advice is to sign up to any of the activities you want to do straight away. Stuff like archery and fencing etc. especially because the places go quite quickly.

Whats the rule then, you drive in? Go to reception?
Then go to villa unload stuff, then drive car to car park and leave it there?

You drive and park, walk to reception, get your keys. Get your car, drive to your villa (or the hotel) and unpack, then go and park your car up again. Then walk back to your villa.

The Elveden forest "dome" burnt down a few years ago, they had to rebuild all of the main part with the swimming pool etc. I haven't been since before then. :o

From memory...you show them your documentation at the barrier/reception hut when you drive in and they give you the villa key. Then you just drive along the narrow windy roads avoiding cyclists, dogs and small children until you reach your villa (the number is on the key and on the map). Then unload your stuff and then drive the car to the big carpark.

That's all I can remember having to do...you will have to sign up at places like the leisure centre and so on though for the activites as well as get your bikes. I think you only visit reception if you have some problems or want to request extra bedding or the like.

Sign up to swim and stuff you mean?

Swimming is free, you can do that whenever you want... just turn up and swim from 11am to 10pm or something like that. I used to enjoy going at around 7pm... everyone else has gone for dinner so it's much quieter, and the rapids are really nice at night time.
