Sorry cant afford a 2GB, or are you saying I buy a value 2GB kit?

I made the mistake of buying 1gb performance ram over 2gb value, even 250mhz @ 2 2 2 5 wont compare to 2gb

Buying a 2GB value kit is FAR better value for money and will give your better performance in any of the latest games, or in Vista when it rears its ugly head.

So even with value ram, I still will achieve same CPU overclock? With my venice I got 2.6GHz, with value will I get the same, if so I'm gna buy some now (minstadave i love u thanks for the advice :) )

Also, will my Ultra-D suppourt that type of ram? I'm thinking some Samsung 2GB PC3200

Your RAM won't limit your overclock, you can just use a memory divider and clock your CPU happily without pushing the memory.

I use 2GB of Samsung UCCC on my DFI without any problems, it clocks well too :)

OK guys so Samsung 2GB beats OCZ platinum 1GB-lol :)

Never thought of that, the one's Im gonna get are nothing special but if its gonna make a change in gaming and mean better mutlitasking I think U'm gna get it! Thanks minstadave you helped me spend my money wisely ;)

I've just got generic Samsung, it does 235Mhz at 2.5-3-3-6 so you can't really go wrong :) You've made the right choice :)

Not bad, I sure have, now I can plauy BF2 with every thing MAXED out ;)

Minstadave, what voltage are you putting through your RAM? And which slots do you use on the Ultra-D?

Orange slots, usually only needs 2.6V, mine doesn't scale much with volts.

Its been moved to my new shuttle build now though.

I've just put some G.Skill HS UCCC RAM into my Ultra-D (spec in sig). I couldn't get it stable (admittedly after minimal time spent on it) with the RAM in the orange slots so I shifted it into the yellow.

I've not clocked it over 200Mhz yet. Any particular reason for you using the orange slots? Have you tried the yellow?

Cheers :D
