Is my RAM too fast?

Just built my PC and it wont boot up (Can't even see the bios). The heatsink fan makes maybe one turn and then stops and the computer reboots. Could it be that the ram is too fast for the motherboard?

Nope, the ram is fine.

Either something is dead or you haven't plugged it all in.
Try with one stick of mem and unplug all the HDs/DVDs etc from the mobo + PSU.

I think there's some real issues when running the DS3 with the GSkill LA if I remember rightly.

That RAM doesn't work with that board. I had the same stuff on my DS4 and ended up sending the memory back for some corsair xms2 pc5400.

I'm not sure if a BIOS upgrade has sorted it or not, maybe someone else will know.
