Just Cause slows down after an hour or so's playing:Any ideas?

Loving the game, very impressed with it.

I have a problem with it though, and after reading online on a few other forums, I'm not the only one.

Plays fine until maybe 45 mins/1 hour into it then it starts becoming jerky and slows down a lot. If you move the camera angle around, it stops slowing down for a few seconds, then it goes back to slowing down again.

Whats the deal with that?. Anyone else get it?.

I'm playing on an AMD Athlon 3000XP with 1Gb DDR400 and a GF6800.

Sounds like a memory leak; something that'll need fixing by the developer via a patch.

either a memory leak or the graphics card has throttled back due to high temps

Seems to be something to do with memory leaks from what I've read elsewhere.

Anyone found anything that has helped performance of this?.

It's really, really getting to be a pain in the backside now!!!.

yup, its to do with the game it's self.

It was made for a kids console by no doubt beginner programers. avoid.

yeah happens to me too, quit and restart the game is the only way to solve it. it was less than £20 so i can't complain too much i suppose.
