ok friend of mine already has a standard broadband connection in one phone line and wireless in another does this mean they will have to pay double, can they run it all simulaneously?

don't ask why lol i barely understand what they are on about myself

Well, eitha they are running 2 Broadband connections or its just an extension and they are been fools. :D

Can you ask them to clarify slightly(or a lot), have they got two separate accounts or are they paying for two separate connections under one account? If not then zen62619 is presumably right and they have an extension and they are numpties.

It's not relevant to this thread but you might find either of these sigs more pleasing, Mr. Lerwill:

Very vague description there.

Does he receive two phone bills for two lines, or just one phone bill? You can have two phone lines installed in one house, but I have no idea why he would want that since broadband does not stop you from using the telephone at the same time (56k dial-up days  )

I think he most probably has one phone line and one broadband connection, with a wireless router. If that is indeed the case, then no, he will not have to pay double.

Best bet is to ask him about the bills.
