putting it all together was pretty easy..... just didn't realise that I can't use one of the SATA ports as its only for external RAID..... so don't think I can use both of the SATA DVD writers I bought...... oh well
 
You're going to put the Raptor into the silentmaxx aren't you ... won't it overheat? I've had a regular 7200RPM IDE HDD overheat in a silentmaxx enclosure.
 
about 1500 squid.......

i don't think the Raptor will overheat in it...... should be sufficiently good airflow in the case to stop that from happening

Hmmm it goes in the 5.25" bay, you're probably right, but looks bloomin awesome spec!
 
still copying all my data from the last pc, setting windows up properly etc..... will start overclocking properly in a couple of days.... I reckon I should get to 3.4GHz easy ??

That thing looks awesome, your going to get some major performance, and I (knowing a small amount about ocing) would say you could get that processor, to over 3.4 ghz without much trouble at all.

Case front looks ugly, i much perfer the Mirage. But cant fault Akasa for build quality here. Lovely setup though would love to see some pics of the inside.
