Good 360 v PS3 v Wii video (COD3)

360 is the clear winner in that comparison but it is early days for the PS3 yet.

Poor Wii, really doesnt even hold its own there does it. But still I reckon it would be a lot more fun to play on that than the other 2

From the video it looks pretty much like the 360 version is the best of the bunch. I was actually a little bit suprised at how poor the PS3 version looked in comparision. Its a little unfair i suppose to compare the Wii as its effectively using last gen tech, its a little like comparing the 360 and XBox versions of the same game.

Have to say that the 360 version looks miles ahead. I'm just hoping it stays like that as I really don't want to be tempted to buy a PS3 :(.

In theory it should do, the headstart the developers have had with the 360 should mean they are able to get more out the 360 hardware than they can the PS3.

Plus I think Microsoft really is in it to win this time, the amount of money they're spending on the 360, developers really are getting a helping hand with costs to make the games look good

Wow the 360 is the clear winner if you watch it through a few times so you know what to look for I wouldn't even say the PS3 is that close.

What has really impressed me is the Wii version. Ok so its not better than the 360 or PS3 (like duh) but for what it is it is very good. Maybe the equiv of a medium spec PC 3 years ago?? Perfectly playable so this bodes well for the Wii in terms of future ports.

I was actually quite impressed with the wii version, didnt look that shabby to me ?

I was expecting something horrendous from the comments.

Aye, very true.

Until the PS3 comes anywhere near making an online system as good as the one on the 360 then I won't be even half tempted anyway.

Online gaming is the biggest thing about next-gen consoles for me.

Not really: both are current consoles, price difference between the two isn't huge, games are the same price.*

People are making huge allowances for the Wii simply down the the wimote controller. Nintendo has really played their cards right with their marketing this time round.

Imagine the brightness and or contrast turned down a bit on the PS3 version and they are atleast comparable to the 360. The Wii version looked ok in its own right but a bit of a blur against the other two due to the lack of high res textures.

*obviously I'm talking Wii and 360 here as I'm sure PS3 will be a bit more costly at first.

I have to agree I didn't think it looked too bad, the only blinding differences were a few localised particals and lighting and the textures weren't as detailed, all of which I'm really not bothered about, I play a game because its fun, If I wanted nice CGI I'd go to the cinema.

They have put a lot of money into their development platform, but its not a one off payment. That money is well spent as XNA can evolve for their future console development. Ultimately the 360 is winning a lot of developers because the architecture is simply easier to code for, combined with the support its no surprise.

I think the other verions just looked a bit glossier, can't see I'd be missing out on anything with the wii version.

The fact that websites are posting the differences, and people care, shows why the 'Golden Age of Video gaming' stays firmly in the early 1980s :(

i thought the Wii looked fine.
I was concentrating more on how much quicker the people were aiming on the Wii than the other versions. Thats all i am interested in. Got my PC for fancy graphics and I can't play FPSs with dual analogues!

Much like people are mentioning the lack of polish of the PS3 in comparison to the X360, it should also be remembered that the Wii version is also some way off the potential in terms of graphical prowess.

xbox versions display setting is set too dark ( you cant see anything on that night time level ) ps3 display setting is set is too bright ( you can see everything )

what i dont understand is how they can look much different apart form the above because im assuming the develpoers are using the same textures for both versions and the xbox/ps2 textures for the wii but with maybe a bit more going on onscreen at a time

i didnt think the wii version looks too bad tbh , much better than other wii shots ive seen :)

I'm with the 'Wii doesn't look that bad' crowd and if they'd used 480p instead of standard NTSC then it would be better still.

it doesn't look bad, but compared to the 360 and PS3, it doesn't look particularly good.

The control method on the other hand looks great, im definately gonna have to get an FPS for the Wii
