it always puzzles me... these people are not entering the "GPU" market as such, more the "PCB" market. i mean the GPU is there already, the PCB designs barely vary from one company to the next, the only real difference between them all is the price, the warranty cover and the style of the cooler. strip that away and they are all bloody identicle :rolleyes: :p
 
When you said GPU market I thought you meant actually making a new GPU to rival ATI and Nvidia. They're just becoming yet another reseller for Nvidia essentially.
 
good for OCZ, there good brand, proberbly THE best memory manufacturer, make good, reliable and almost silent PSUs, come on OCZ, and not only NVIDIA damnit! :eek:

i think your missing the point... OCZ are not entering the GPU market, at least not the creation of GPU`s, they are entering the resellers market. yet another person to take a generic design slap a funky cooler on it and call it a unique product... :rolleyes:


on the plus side OCZ may make and fit their own memory to it but besides that there's no much different between them and anyone else. another pointless reseller.

hence why i said 'not only NVIDIA' since i was saying i hope there a board partner for ATI as well :rolleyes: maybe they'll be like leadtek and manufacture non-NVIDIA reference boards and custom BIOS and stuff :)

OCZ don't "make" memory either. Just a reseller for the memory chip producers (Micron, Infinion, Samsung, etc).

ah, so all in all they are just a glorified reseller. and here i thought they produced ram at least.
 
Think you are all being all a bit harsh on the guy. In the Computer world the there so many products with different names, just look at the tft market how many actualy make their own pannels.Used ocz gear in the past and its very good imo. More pcb builders = more competion better prices. Besides the title is correct as they are entering the gpu market full stop.

OCZ don't make their current PSU, they are made by FSP. ;)

not true im afraid since there can be only minimal variation in the price of any given model of card regardless of the reseller due to the set price of GPU`s for that product over a given period.

ya and its likely they would target the brand at a high end market, as per the memory side of their business, not bringing down ASP, simply competing with the likes on BFG etc on brand equity.
