Just fixed this in, idle temp 65 degree, is that safe? What is the max safe temp when loading?

And When i tried going to the gfx control panel, and tried to monitor temp lvl it says u need to download ntuner or something, is this worth downloading? Many thanks.
 
I'm idling at around 60c, should be fine really. Ntune is ok, you can use it for overclocking as well. I haven't figured out how to read temps through Ntune though... Anyone want to tell me how? :rolleyes:
 
Thats what im concerned abt, anyway I can check the load temp while in game?
Im getting this problem now....

Im getting this in BF2142



Im getting this too when trying to play COH. Didnt get any of these using my previous card.

Its too early to say the cards borked. With whole elements missing in game, still looks like a driver problem. I can only suggest taking it all out and starting again. Use drivercleaner pro in safe mode to get the remnants. A fresh install of DirectX wouldn't hurt either.

This is a common issue with 8800's, usually caused by corrupt drivers. It usually happens if you change drivers without using Driver Cleaner.
You need to uninstall the drivers, restart and run Driver Cleaner for nvidia drivers, then reinstall the 97.02s.

Before 8800, you could install nvidia drivers on top of other nv drivers without issue, but I think the 'newer' new control panel (needing ntune) isn't compatible with the 'older' new control panel.

Lolcb im getting the same yellow problems in bf2142 and in might and magic but they are the only 2 games i have problems with others are fine i think its a driver issue!!! best thing to do is wait till the vista/xp drivers come out sometime in the next 2 weeks as they will be the prober ones for the card!!!


** oh thanks sir random i did have a 7800gtx on various differnt drivers think ill clean mine up 2***
 
Not at all mate, my set-up is all running at their stock speed. No OC is done while this problem is happening.

Sir Random: I did use driver cleaner pro to clean the traces of previous driver version. The problems I had with BF2142 and the game not loading r happening when using 97.28. So before I installed 97.28, I did use driver cleaner to clean the 97.02 version and it is still happening.

The funny thing is, the problem only happens if the first game I play is BF2142.
For example, if the first game I play is BF2142 after fresh boot of the comp, I cannot play any other games without expriencing error. So basically BF2142 causes some kind of driver problem.

Anyone having the same problem?
 
Doesn't fix it, I'm still getting that yellow goldenish issue. And yes BF2142 is still giving me the above mentioned problems. If the first game I play is BF2142, I cannot start any other game, it will just give me and error message.

I switched between, oblivion, medieval 2, far cry, company of heroes. Not getting the same problems like BF2142.

I have the same problem with my x1800XT from time to time but with the BF2 server browser. The most recent versions of CAT seem to have fixed it though so I agree that it looks like a driver issue.

You could always try reinstalling BF2142, since that's the only game with problems.
