Firstly happy 21st birthday to me :-)

Now the bike is back from dream machine, I thaught I'd treat it to a custom map of that lovely power commander and a K&N filter.
Its now 112bhp at the wheel, not too shabby for a 600, but its the midrange and small throttle openings that have really come alive! So much better with the much added mid-range!

A big thanks to steve at Motrac for doing an amazing map for me.

Pics below. (excuse the crappy phone pics).

Bike before paint being picked up by the dream machine man...

Bike after paint

Here she is all strapped up on the Dyno at Motrac.

Nice :)
When I saw the yellow thumbnail I was thinking nah... but seeing the full pic does it justice. I like it a lot, reminds me a bit of old EXUP/FZ schemes.

Sounds good, lets hope they didnt add any extra BHP's for free :) Nice cool weather would had helped too.

Has the custom map made a huge difference over free maps from the PC website?

Yea, massive difference the mid range and small throttle openings is world better!
Steve is very professional there, Does a lot of work for race teams, and a very good friend of a friend. Apparently his dyno is pretty good, so should be a good figure, nice cool air would have helped a bit but it was hot inside there by the time he did the power run after 3 hours of fiddling!

It was only 103bhp with the PC map on it which he said was quite good, so that is a low figure for an R6, yet he said it was a strong engine and I must ride it properly ;) so I think thats a good indication of a not overestimating dyno, it made 108 with no power commander on a **** mobile dyno!

That is the only colour for a Yamaha... Fantastic. Did Dream Machine actually paint what they asked you to then  Instead of "interpreting" your instructions... :D

Nice. But you do look old for 21.

What mpg does your bike get out of interest?

Thats not me!!! thats the dream machine man coming to get it, I'mvery youthfull!

when it rains and I cant push it I can get well into the 40's MPG wise, normal thrashing brings that down to about 100-120 miles to £12-£14 of V-power, on real blasts I have seen 80 miles, but that was bouncing off the limiter the wholetime, about the same at track days.

Now I have the custom map it should be better most of the time. You certainly dont have to use the revs as much to make progress.

There was a bit of creativity, but it is what I asked for. It realyis an amazing job, not just the design, the quality is fantastic!
