Now what RAM & CPU is worth looking at?

Or

Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2 Dominator PC2-6400C4 TwinX (2x1GB)

X6800 / E6700 or E6600

Or what other changes would you make? :cool:

about 1k for CPU / Ram / MB

I may think about changing the MB as they are in very short supply at the mo.

Hmmm with the striker, none of the extreme editions can be in the equation for 1k with ram :/ so only option would be the 6700 with the striker and any ram that someone recommends, sorry im no good with ram lol, but someone might suggest a cheaper Mobo if you dont want to SLI and then you could prob get a 6700 EE and some ram prob for 1k

Is the striker board worth the wait or is another board just as good?

For the time being though, i am only going to have the one 8800GTX.

i would get the e6600 , a ds3 or ds4 mobo, geil value 2gb ram BUT go watercooling (which is around £200) with that setup...then you can overclock the cpu to the stock speeds of the other chips...
