well, that would be the x800xtpe pcie, surely? it's not the one id go for, but it's the equivalent lol

Is the ATI X1950 cards the latest Generation ?

if so, then i heard you need a powerful PSU, I got a Akasa Paxpower 460W

not sure if it will work?

my CPU is a SKT 939 3000+ Venice

If it is PCI-E then id get this HIS ICEQ3 x1950pro , absolutely cracking card, and the price is a steal, much better card. :)

done a lot of searching, that one seems quite and quite fast!
the only other one i would compare it to is the X1900-XT which seems to be faster for what i have seen, and the same price (if you can find it)

so, what do you think of these two ?

HIS Radeon X1950 PRO 256Mb Vs Connect 3D Radeon X1900 XT 256Mb

both around £140 / £150

thoughts?

Both are great cards. The X1900XT is slightly faster, but the X1950Pro uses a fair bit less power (so if you have a lower end PSU it would be the wiser choice) & the X1950Pro also has a better cooler.

but seeing tomshardware VGA list, it looks much much faster
