No dead pixels so am well chuffed. Very happy with it so far.

Panel information reads....

RT803
v1b18

Any ideas what this means? s-ips ? p-mva?

Many thanks

Doosht

cool! Ive no idea what s-ips is but i believe its 'supposed' to be better.
It was made in Czech Republic November 2006.

Set your background to black and then look at the screen from sharply above and to the side. If it goes orangey red then it's IPS. The IPS panel is very quick but the black depth maybe isn't the best. Then again I've never used the PVA version to compare.

How do you check to see if it's the A01, A02 or A03 revision?

Is there a sticker? In some menu? A code?

Thanks in advance :)

Hi, what size is your panel?

Interested in getting one of these, but do they still suffer from the backlight bleed problems?

Mine arrived this morning although i'm at work so i won't be able to tell you until later on. Going to be the longest day ever!

Thought it was the previous 2005fpw model that suffered the backlight bleed? Haven't read much if anything about backlight bleed on the 2007WFP and mine is pretty even.

Right, mines out of the box and on my desk at home although i've not fired it up yet. I take it the panel information is within the menu and not written on the back?

Mine arrived this morning from Dell, it's an A03 with the LG S-IPS panel and no dead pixels whatsoever. It's not often I get good luck the first time around so I'm absolutely delighted :D

Only thing that's confusing me a bit is that it won't let me change the aspect ratio options, it just stays on 'Fill'. Any ideas? Using it through DVI by the way.

When I tried changing the resolution to something other than 1680x1050 that option became available.

Ah, that's a bit of an irritation but nothing I can't live with. To be honest I'd have no real need for the inbuilt aspect controls if ATI would pull their fingers out and put an option to stretch and keep the aspect ratio in the CCC. Otherwise I'll only need it when I get a Wii and I assume it'll work OK over the VGA.

Turn the monitor off, hold down the menu and + buttons at the same time then turn it on, it'll take a second to start up then press the - button.

Having never owned a TFT before i'm not sure how severe this is, but i've noticed a bit of backlight bleeding in the top left hand corner of my 2007WFP on a completely black screen. A touch annoying but no dead pixels so i can't complain!

Yeh, I also seem to have the same panel as you (A03) and I also have backlight bleeding in the top left hand corner, its annoying but I can get used to it.
